Welcome to The Compass Market!  We are Cristina and Megan, culinary graduates from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC.  We share 45 years of experience in the food and beverage industry - from front of the house to back of the house to catering, and more.  Our love of Charleston, food and farmers markets inspired The Compass Market.  Why are we called The Compass Market?  Megan hails from the Mid West.  Cristina hails from the North East.  We met in the South and felt like a compass best explained our origins and what led to our friendship.

In 2011, we decided that we wanted to be in business for ourselves.  Eight years later and pushing 40, we decided to take our plunge into the world of small business entrepreneurship.  After falling in love with the Johns Island

Farmers Market, we tailored our shop to have the feel of a farmers market but the accessibility of a retail store. 

That is why you will find us open at least four days a week.
